On the 11thof February, at the plenary session of Khmilnyk District Council in Vinnytsia region, Anatoly Moroz, the Deputy of the European Party of Ukraine, has become the secretary of the Council. “We are confident that with the support received from the council secretary Anatoly Moroz it will be easier for the Mayor to organize the work of the District Council in compliance with the legality, the rule of law, and the transparency of the government. Because each member of the European Party of Ukraine is guided only by these principles in its activities”, – said the Deputies of the City Council, elected from the European Party of Ukraine.
Since the beginning of cadence of Khmilnyk District Council of the 7th convocation, no secretary has yet to be chosen. Considering the fact that the deputy corps consists of representatives from nine political parties, none of the candidates has gained the corresponding number of votes.
On the 11thof February, the regular plenary session of the District Council was tight. The question regarding the candidature of the secretary was resonant. On the day before, the candidate from the political party “People’s Control” was introduced for the consideration for the secretary post by the Deputies. Despite the Council’s resolution, the political party mentioned above did not nominate his Deputy and the request was sent to the Mayor. At the beginning of the plenary session, signatures to submit the request under the session’s consideration of the indicated candidature were withdrawn by nine Deputies. They explained such actions, referring to the fact that collecting of signatures started about two months ago, and today the most obvious leader for the post of the Secretary of the Khmilnyk District Council was Anatoly Moroz. In such circumstances, the candidate for the Secretary from the “People’s Control” political party was withdrawn.
Anatoly Moroz gained a landslide victory thanks to the support from the four political forces and the Mayor.
