Bills on the land market do not contain Ukrainian interest, – Mykola Katerynchuk

There is no Ukrainian interest in all the land market bills registered in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, said Mykola Katerynchuk on the air of “Black Sea” TV channel.

In the European Union, the land market has two functions – food security and rural employment. We also have to go that way. In the EU, those who work on land have a higher income than urban residents. EU-states provide and support the farmer. We also need to build a support system for the Ukrainian farmer. We must refuse to export raw materials in favor of exports of finished agricultural products. But for this we need to create 400-500 thousand farms. And what do the former grant-eaters, who found themselves in power today, offer? To sell land for the benefit of large agro holdings and speculators. Ukrainians who want to live and work in the village should be given this opportunity, said Mykola Katerynchuk.
