Debate should be obligatory for all participants of the election process, – Mykola Katerynchuk

Debate is respect to the voter. The Civic Position wants to make the debate obligatory for all participants of the election process. If the candidate refuses to debate – he automatically loses the right to run. This rule should apply to parties and presidential candidates. Voters should see their candidates not only on the big boards or in political commercials broadcast, but also in the debate mode when candidates have to answer awkward questions. A Civic Position, for example, openly debates the need to introduce a life-long prison for bribery. No one else talks about it. And these are important topics. For example, the National Police released a horrifying statistic that 50 children have been killed in Ukraine in the last 6 months. What is it about? We don’t have a basic security system. We need to talk about this with the public and political opponents in the debate.
