On June 23, 2011 in Kyiv, there was held a Round table on the topic “Will the people have the right to choose?”, headed by Deputy of Ukraine, Leader of the European Party of Ukraine Mykola Katerynchuk.
The event was attended by Deputies of Ukraine, representatives of 40 political parties (including parliamentary), experts, government officials, representatives of embassies of the EU countries.
As you know, during the discussion of the draft Law of Ukraine “On Elections of People’s Deputies of Ukraine”, prepared by the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, representatives of almost all political parties have demonstrated a single position on the unacceptability of the very principles on which developed the said bill. As a result there was a need for holding a round table with participation of all political parties in Ukraine to discuss and form a unified position of political parties on the bill.
As a result of discussion participants of the round table signed a resolution (the text is given in Ukrainian language)
