“The new representatives of ORDLO in the negotiating group in Minsk will act only as observers. Will they influence the Minsk process? I think they won`t. They do not have the authority to do so. We understand that until Russia changes its position, until it wants to end the war, the presence of new representatives will not work. Although we will involve the Pope, nothing will happen without changing Russia’s position. The only possible tool is US influence on Russia. Ukraine could demand pressure on Russia by Trump administration to regain control of the border. The preconditions for this are an objective investigation of all cases involving citizens of foreign countries, including the United States”, said Mykola Katerynchuk.
