The leader of the European Party of Ukraine, People`s deputy of Ukraine Mykola Katerynchuk called the dissolution of the Communist faction in the Parliament a historic decision. He wrote about it on his page on Facebook.
“Today we have a really historic and momentous event – the Communist faction is dissolved. Although its members remain in the Parliament and further influence the political situation in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, it’s true beginning of prohibition of the communist ideology, which is the ideology of killers. The activity of the communists has nothing to do with humanity. Its days are numbered”, – said Mykola Katerynchuk.
“The Internet is full of photos and videos which prove that the representatives of the Communist faction support escalation of the military conflict in the east of Ukraine. We should forget about any loyalty to this political power”, – said the People`s Deputy of Ukraine.
“For me, personally, the famine of 1932-33, caused by communists, is a sufficient reason to prohibit communist ideology in Ukraine. Other killings of those, who actually wanted to live in a free and independent Ukraine, are endless. Let`s recall the tragic mass executions of political prisoners in the prisons of Western Ukraine during the late June – early July, 1941. Communists were killing the patriots Ukraine, instead of protecting the country from the German invaders.
It’s a shame that it happens only now – after 23 years of the independence of Ukraine”, – is said in the statement.
