“Ambassadors of the European Union (EU Committee of Permanent Representatives (COREPER) today on 26 April, 2017 approved the granting of a visa-free regime for Ukraine. The next step is the decision of Ministers of the European Union, signing and publication of the decision in the Official Journal of the EU. And I have no doubt about the irreversibility of this process, and I am convinced that Ukrainian citizens will travel to Schengen countries easily”, – said the leader of the European party of Ukraine Mykola Katerynchuk -. “For what we came to Euromaidan in 2013, now becomes a reality. And any speculation about the uncertain of a visa free regime shatteres with the adoption of each subsequent decision in the European Union”.
“The adoption of this decision had a positive effect on the mood of population. According to the latest data of sociological polls, this year, about 56% of Ukrainians intend to use the visa-free regime. And as the experience of neighboring Georgia shows, simplification of a visa regime provides unimpeded entry to the European Union. The list of documents that you need to have when you cross the border, is minimal and it is not burdensome in the matter of registration (a return ticket, hotel reservations and insurance) “, – said Mykola Katerynchuk. – “I sincerely congratulate all of us on this victory and I believe that we are ready to be a full member of the EU”.
