“In terms of the power of oligarchs there can not be built a competitive electricity market in Ukraine. We can only create an additional market based on alternative sources of energy or to build new energetic reactors. Now it is a robbery of the citizens, which will lead to greater monopolization and appearing a shadow market”, – said the leader of the European Party of Ukraine Mykola Katerynchuk on one of the TV channels, commenting on adopted by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine the Law of Ukraine “On electricity market”.
“This law will not reduce the cost of electricity for Ukrainians, but rather increase it. Thus, the law is aimed to attract investments in the energy sector. But why average Ukrainians should pay for it. At our expense the nuclear power plants have been already built. And such energy is the cheapest and the most beneficial to citizens. Why do we now have to pay more? This whole situation is a cynical deception of Ukrainian people”, – said Mykola Katerynchuk.
“The government has never taken the last. But now this is what we observe. We are told that all developed countries сhose such model of the energy sector, and this is true. But none of these countries do not have such a high level of corruption that any progressive reform in Ukraine turns into a profanation”, – he added.
