Mykola Katerynchuk: Prosecutor General must report about the real deeds

24/05/2017 11:59

For me such format of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine report is incomprehensible. He can only report about real actions, increased level of legitimacy, since the quantitative indicators do not always indicate that the public feels safe, corruption was overcome and reforms were carried out”, – said the leader of the European Party of Ukraine Mykola Katerynchuk on one of the TV channels.

“Of course, it is necessary to tell people that the operation to confiscate money of Yanukovych was completed, and now that money will go to the budget. But if he personally initiates this report, it will look like just another PR action of the prosecutor-journalist to get out of this easy political dividends”, – said Mykola Katerynchuk.

“Reforms are conducted, and at the local level procecutors really began to take less bribes. But there is a feeling that all its strength Prosecutor General’s Office spends on competitions with the NABU and resolving their internal issues, as we can observe in their recent comments. In fact, the General Prosecutor has nothing to report on the merits”, – he added.
