“We must understand that the IMF does not make any demands for Ukraine. The fund listens to the suggestions of our government about what they are ready to do for recovery and rebalancing the economy, in order to get money, and how the money will be spent. Statements about requirements of the IMF to Ukraine is a manipulation planned by authorities”, – said the leader of the European Party of Ukraine Mykola Katerynchuk on Radio Era.
“The IMF never gives loans to strengthen the financial system of the country. The steps, which the power must do, should be clearly defined. All these proposals go only from our politicians. In particular, the finance minister declares a raise of the retirement age, the sale of land and so on. Thus, the President, the Prime Minister, the Chairman of the NBU, the same finance minister are willing to subscribe to it. They will have to bear responsibility for it towards the citizens”, – said Mykola Katerynchuk.
“When they participated in the elections, none of them talked about such reforms against the interests of Ukrainians. Now, when people elected them, they forgot about the interests of their constituents. Under the guise of the IMF requirements, they make decisions that that are beneficial for them, not for the country”, – he added.
