Mykola Katerynchuk: the economic discourse in the country was reduced to the sale of state property

Today, the government’s economic strategy looks like this: how and where to borrow money, and how to sell everything. Mykola Katerynchuk noted this on Channel 4.

“In times of war, it is not profitable to sell land and strategic assets because they will cost pennies. And in general, can economic discourse be reduced to the sale of state property? What will we do next when we sell everything? We do not need privatization for the sake of privatization. We need privatization to create new industrial jobs. We need an industrial investor, not a speculative one, who now buys everything cheaply and then resells everything.

They will sell everything in two years, balance the budget, and then the authority will sell the kidneys of Ukrainians? It is a myth that an open land market, even involving foreigners, will bring billions of dollars to Ukraine. The buyer will leave as much money as is needed to provide the equipment and automated production systems, and the profits will all go abroad. The foreigners will use the land simply as a means of production, said Mykola Katerynchuk.
