“Today is two years after the official inauguration of the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko. For me personally, he did not become the President. Two years ago the elections were won not by a politician, but by a businessman Poroshenko”, – said the MP of the 5, 6, 7 and 8 convocations, the leader of the European Party of Ukraine Mykola Katerynchuk on the TV channel 112 Ukraine.
“It was a chance to build a new Ukraine. But he did not use the achievements of the revolution of dignity and achievements of our Party (there were 11 tents and 300 party members). He could not or did not want to punish the killers of Hundreds of Heaven. Poroshenko gave no answers to questions that are increasingly arising from ordinary people. And his second press conference seemed so “I must say something”, – said the politician.
“On Amendments to the Constitution and the so-called judicial reforms: to amend the Constitution during the military situation is unacceptable! In addition, people should take part in the process of amending the Basic Law, as a kind of social contract between the government and people.
On the other hand, requests to dismiss the judges, who have overwhelmingly negative image, appeared. And such a mechanism in the judicial reform was laid. But this reform gives the President power for the next two years to single-handedly shape the judicial branch. He will become a kind of supreme judge. In fact, since the implementation of these amendments to the Constitution, every citizen of Ukraine, received a court decision, has to understand that he received a decision on behalf of Poroshenko.
Presenting the judicial reform in the Parliament, Poroshenko said he wanted to bring people justice. And we are ready to help him in this. But we hope it will not appear as an empty chatter. For two years the President has been the best speaker in Ukraine. But his every fine word remains empty.
Under war conditions such tool as street protests are not appropriate to force the authorities to work more efficiently. Our society is waiting for a spark to which it will respond instantly. I prefer this spark never happen. Unfortunately, the President creates all the preconditions for this. Today Ukrainian people become poorer, while the president`s circle gets enriched”, – said Mykola Katerynchuk.
