Statement by the European Party of Ukraine on the appointment of a new Government of Ukraine.

Change of Goncharuk’s government is the correct decision of the president of Ukraine. The new government faces challenging tasks in the context of slowing GDP growth, declining industrial production, and shortfalls to the state budget of Ukraine. The effectiveness of the new government will depend on the accuracy of its economic and political priorities. The new Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers named economic development as a priority of his activity. And that’s right. But in the absence of the rule of law and an effective system of punishment for corruption, Ukraine cannot claim to be an attractive country for investment, even if investment nannies emerge.
