On October 15, 2020, Serhiy Tkachenko, the candidate of the European Party of Ukraine for mayor of Pryluky, Chernihiv region, was attacked on the highway between the villages of Lynovytsia and Bubnivshchyna in the Pryluky district of Chernihiv region.
Unidentified persons fired at the windshield and front door glass of a car driven by Serhiy Tkachenko and detonated an unidentified explosive device near the car.
On the fact of the crime, the police opened a criminal case on the grounds of Part 2 of Article 15 of Part 1 of Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – attempted murder.
The investigation is underway.
