Today [on the 24thof February], in Vinnitsa, representatives of the European Party of Ukraine have started collecting signatures for the resignation of the Yatsenyuk’s government. The announced action was held, despite it was snowing and raining. Activists were talking with citizens in agitation tents, one of which you could see on the Heavenly Hundred`s Maidan. Other volunteers have organized the collection of signatures on public transport stops, urban markets, and on the streets of Vinnitsa.
The European Party’s initiators explain their action, referring to the fact that the current government failed all the promised reforms and have caused a catastrophic poverty within the country. The government has to be dismissed despite the fact that votes for Yatsenyuk’s resignation from the post of prime minister in the fully corrupted VerkhovnaRada have not been yet found.
Yanukovych’s regime also seemed such monolithic and stable when the first protests began on the EuroMaidan. However, the activity of several hundred of people became the catalyst that urged the whole society on the Revolution of Dignity.
Today, this society has become the force that can not be appeased by the ministers` and Deputies’ reports and praised fictional victories. Therefore, the petition is the first step, which aims to reinforce people’s belief that they are the only authority in Ukraine. Only they, not corrupted Deputies, eventually will decide whether the helpless ministers will remain in their seats or leave.
