“To be free in the EU!” – Under this slogan a peaceful action of the European Party of Ukraine will be held on 24th November, 2016, the day of the EU-Ukraine summit at St. Michael’s Square in Kyiv.
Three years ago we went to the central square of the country to defend our right to a European choice. And we paid a cost of Heavenly hundreds and thousands of lives on the front. We gave a clear signal to the European Union that we chose a European vector.
That is why for us, the issue of a visa-free regime is the main Rubicon towards a full membership in the European Union. We demand not only from the Ukrainian authorities to adhere their promises, but also from European officials to be resolute and consistent in their motion to meet Ukraine.
Our political force will mobilize its ranks. At the event we will bring together the party members from all over Ukraine to demand decisive actions from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the visa-free regime issue. If the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine can not cope with his duties, he must leave his post. We must be resolute in a dialogue with the European Union when it comes to our security and the European future for Ukraine.
The European Party of Ukraine, as a full member of the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe, refers to the management of the European Parliament to urgently consider a visa-free regime for Ukraine at the next plenary session and provide visa liberalization without any suspension mechanisms or other conditions. Only under such conditions it will be possible to input mechanism of a visa-free travel by the end of this year. Only this position the Ukrainian government should uphold at the nearest EU-Ukraine Summit.
