“The decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine at the request of President on termination of trade relations with the occupied territories in the east must be taken under a strict control of public in order to stop trains passing there at night”, – stated the leader of the European Party of Ukraine Mykola Katerynchuk.
“Overall, this solution may be welcomed, however, we must realize that we stand before the call when the authorities will decide in favor of the country only under a threat of pressure of public institutions, mass protests on the streets, the use of firearms against protesters and so on. Saving this trend we can get “Makhnovshchina” in the pure state and the loss of a whole sovereignty”, – said the politician.
“But further destiny of blockade remains uncertain, when “militants” back the seized enterprises under the jurisdiction of Ukraine. Because in this case the Ukrainian authorities actually declares their readiness to continue the trade with terrorists. In my opinion we must prevent it. The blockade must be continued until we return a full control of the occupied territories of Ukraine”, – he added.
In addition, the application of the President who is fighting for the integrity of the state`s territory, go counter to his actions – trade with terrorists. Otherwise, the President should resign”, – said Mykola Katerynchuk.
