The European Party of Ukraine condemns the attempt of Europe`s last dictator, Aleksandr Lukashenko, to destroy democracy and freedom in Belarus. Once again, the authority imitated the election process in violation of all OSCE standards. We support the people of Belarus in their desire to honestly and freely exercise the right to elect the president and the direction of their own country’s development. We condemn the acts of violence by law enforcement agencies against Belarussian citizens taking to the streets in peaceful protest.
We call on President Lukashenko to stop the bloodshed, to release those detained during the protests and hold fair, democratic, free elections in the country – with international and local observers, without fraud and with the registration of all presidential candidates.
