“A visa-free regime with the EU is a positive signal for Ukraine. Another question is about the possibility of citizens of Ukraine to use it. The government must take the responsibility to carry out such reforms in Ukraine so that the financial situation of Ukrainians would allow them to travel to the EU”, – said the Head of the Central Executive Committee of the European Party of Ukraine, Deputy Head of the Party Valeriy Klochok, commenting on the positive vote of the European Parliament on granting Ukraine a visa free regime with the EU on one of the TV channels today.
“Today’s victory is not only the merit of power, as it is trying to show. This process was influenced by a large number of public figures and politicians. The Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe (Party), which is the largest faction of the European Parliament, directly contributed to solving this problem for Ukraine. The European Party of Ukraine, as a member of ALDE, has promoted the issue of visa liberalisation for Ukraine for many years. And finally we got the result”, – he said.
“Now we need to use this result to keep a visa-free regime with the EU. There is a lot of work that must be done in Ukraine, because a visa-free regime is only the first step to the association with the EU firstly, and to the full membership in the EU in the future”, – he added.
