Valeriy Klochok: NABU is not able to fight corruption in Ukraine

“For me the case of Martynenko showed an absolute inability of the NABU to fight corruption in Ukraine. Despite the loud statements of NABU detectives, it collapsed even before the trial. This may indicate an incompetence of investigators, or a deliberate sabotage in this process”, – said the head of the Central Executive Committee of the European Party of Ukraine, the deputy head of the Party Valeriy Klochok on the online broadcast channel.

“Considering this facts, it is unclear for what the NABU was created in general, because it is not an only case. The case of Nasirova is also revealing and the size of the bail, which was paid for him, shocked the whole country. In my opinion, the NABU, as it now operates, is not ready to carry out effective anti-corruption measures and bring the perpetrators to justice”, – said Valeriy Klochok.

“Such activities of NABU – one of a specially designed anti-corruption bodies, looks like a window dressing for our European partners on the one hand and on the other – as a deliberate concealment of corruption crimes of influential people. Therefore, until threre is no political will to fight corruption in Ukraine, no matter how many anti-corruption bodies is created, it will not give any results”, – he added.
