Zelensky needs to look for his own format of the end of war, not fulfill the Minsk agreements – Katerynchuk

Minsk agreements are dead. Ukraine needs new Zelensky`s format, said Mykola Katerynchuk on the air of Emigrant Radio.

President Zelensky had a unique opportunity to refuse the Minsk agreements. He didn’t write them and he didn’t sign them, so he had right to offer his vision for the end of the war. But he followed Minsk agreements, although he has stated his clear position on the impossibility of federalization of Ukraine and the implementation of the political component before secure one. This is important because it is impossible to execute Minsk agreements without changing the order of implementation of the items. First – the return of the border to our control, second – the local elections. Putin is unlikely to change his position. After the summit in Paris, Putin drew “horror stories” about a possible massacre in the Donbass, as in Srebrenica. But this is simply an attempt to justify Russia’s position, which, incidentally, does not deny that it is Russia who control the Ukrainian-Russian border in the east. Therefore, Zelensky will sooner or later realize that the Zelensky`s format based on the Budapest Memorandum is needed, said Mykola Katerynchuk.

In 1995 during the Bosnian war, Bosnian Serbs killed about 8,000 Bosnian Muslim men, ages 12 to 77. This war crime was recognized as genocide.
