“An economic blockade may not be enough to stop the conflict in Donbas, but it can be a good incentive to resolve this issue”, – said the Head of the Central Executive Committee of the European Party of Ukraine, the Deputy Head of the Party, Valeriy Klochok.
“All the activists were one team during Maidan but after the victory of the Revolution of Dignity two camps were formed. Some have received power, and others have not. And those, who did not get power, hoped for the validity of the new government, but they did not feel any improvement. They only felt that the new government is not better than the old one. And that proves the conflict between the MPs and the organizers of the blockade of Donbass”, -said Valeriy Klochok.
“The question of trade with the occupied territories was strongly suppressed because it was profitably for some persons. And, perhaps, it would have continued, but now the society begins to lose patience and requires effective steps to end the war in Donbas. The blockade of the occupied territories, in this context, was a resonant solution. I can safely say that at least one of its tasks it has performed – it has drawn public attention to the cynical inaction of officials on the issue of ending the war in Donbass”, – he added.
