Therefore, the MP predicts that “the government will continue to borrow from everywhere it can”.
Mykola Katerynchuk said that “borrowing is already difficult, that is, the credit markets are closed today for Ukraine in connection with the downgrades of the competition and freedom of business activity. Risks are high; our position in business risk rating is even lower than the African country of Congo, so when we have such rules of business no one wants to deal with us. We have a catastrophic situation with the investment – 30% of last year. The stock market is completely dead. It is a mystery to me how the National Bank of Ukraine keeps national currency exchange rate. The metal industry is in a quite serious downturn. The crop failure is expected because of the drought”.
“The beginning of cooperation with China is the first sign that we are looking for ways to save the Ukrainian economy, – convinced the MP- but, unfortunately, the tendency of eating up all of the borrowed funds leaves us no choice. We did not do anything to save energy to avoid gas dependence. I believe that the government of Azarov is the government of bankrupts, and the last two borrowed billions are a swan song, because the 9.25% per annum is a sign, which we should think about”.
Mr. Katerynchuk believes that “there are no ideal models. I am convinced that it is necessary to eliminate the current tax code and accept our liberal option, so that we could give more preferences to small and medium-sized businesses. We need to change the credit system. Also, we have to give political signals to show that we have justice and that investors can protect their rights in court. We do not have supervisors or criminal businesses. At the political level, it would be important for us to cooperate with the FTA, the EU and the IMF – it would strengthen our rating a little and provide an opportunity to negotiate with investors”.
The leader of the European Party of Ukraine thinks that “it is all possible if you work not for 2-3 oligarchic groups but for every citizen of Ukraine and realize that the economy is not only the prime minister and the president but every single workplace”.
