The meeting of Mykola Katerynchuk with voters was hindered

30/08/2012 17:32
The election campaign of a candidate for People’s Deputy of Ukraine from the United Opposition, Mykola Katerynchuk, was hindered from holding campaign in the constituency no.13. The MP applied to the head of the Kalynivskyi Police Office with the appropriate statement.

As Mykola Katerynchuk announced in his parliamentary inquiry, some days before in the House of Culture of the village Pavlivka (Kalynivka district, Vinnytsia region) he, as a People’s Deputy of Ukraine, had a meeting with voters.

The citizen, Mykola Svirhun, an employee of the local agricultural company “Svitanok”, entered the hall, where the meeting was being held. He was drunk and violated public order which strongly interfered with the conduct of the meeting. At the request of Mykola Katerynchuk to behave decently, Svirhun did not react and continued to behave quite aggressively.

The MP believes that the hooliganism of the citizen Mykola Svirhun grossly violated the Law of Ukraine “On the Status of the People’s Deputy of Ukraine” in terms of impeding the powers of the People’s Deputy of Ukraine, and therefore Mykola Katerynchuk asks to check these facts and take appropriate actions.
