“In spring, a group of the government fraudsters created a new monopoly. The law, which gives the exclusive right to assess the unauthorized construction, was passed. As a result, farmers, who are trying to take possession of the inherited estate, have to pay up to ten thousand UAH for the houses “assessment” and arrangement of the necessary documents” – emphasized Katerynchuk. – “Although, Village Councils used to have such authorities and their services used to be either completely free or have a nominal cost of several tens UAH. Meanwhile, every year more than three hundred thousand hereditary cases are formalized. So a group of deputies-fraudsters hopes to capitalize more than 3 billion UAH a year”.
The opposition has already filed a Draft Law no.10637 “On Amendements to Certain Laws of Ukraine Regarding Property Assessment”, which eliminates this monopoly. This draft law, among other things, abolishes the recent decisions of the State Property Fund of Ukraine and the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, which limited the range of subjects (under unexplained principles), which had the exclusive rights to assess the property and property rights.
“Unfortunately, the government majority slows down the adoption of this law, as each month of this fraud brings to corrupted deputies nearly 300 million UAH. And this money has to be paid by everyone who gets inherited property – from farmers to foreign investors”, – said Mykola Katerynchuk.
