“As the current government refused again to conduct the elections in Kyiv, I find it necessary to choose the temporary council of deputies at the popular assembly, to choose the interim Mayor of Kyiv and Secretary to make decisions that are, first of all the, necessary for Kyiv citizens”, – commented the leader of the European Party of Ukraine, People`s Deputy of Ukraine and the member of the parliamentary faction “Batkivshchina” Mykola Katerynchuk on the refusal of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to include the decision on elections in Kyiv in the agenda this week. – “I have already said it during the meeting outside the Kyiv City State Administration and I will continue to urge Kyiv citizens to expel this gang authorities out of the City Council areas and to establish a national power and to stop self-will in our capital”.

“Today the KCSA meets the gang. Current deputies have no legitimate powers, neither Popov, nor Gerega. Gerega is not entitled to sign any decision that is adopted by this Council”, – said Mykola Katerynchuk.
He reminded the audience that one of the clauses of Fule`s list stated providing the elections of Kyiv Mayor and Kyiv City Council. “There is a clear requirement that the elections in Kyiv must be conducted as well as in Chernivtsy, Kherson, Mikolaev, because millions of people are denied their right to elect local government”, – said the People`s Deputy of Ukraine.
Today, during the meeting in front of the Kyiv City State Administration Mykola Katerynchuk urged people to organize the overall meeting and to set a national government in the Council as early as possible. “There should be 20 000 or 30 000 of us. We are here to expel this gang authorities out of the Kyiv City Council and to establish a national power there”, – said the People`s Deputy of Ukraine.
As it was previously reported, Mykola Katerynchuk along with the other opposition Deputies had received a call from the police for examination him as a witness of the events that took place on October 2, 2013 during a session of the Kyiv City Council, near the Kyiv City State Administration.
