Donetsk Communists was caught red-handed by the local “Europeans”

12/11/2013 17:57
Last Saturday, on November 9th, members of the local office of the European Party of Ukraine in Druzhkivka (Donetsk region), distributed EPU leaflets about the benefits of signing an Association Agreement with the EU. People were interested in booklets, they read them and asked questions. In Donetsk region clarification, concerning the recent actions of President Yanukovych, is not carried out, so only few people are aware of this important issue.
At 8 o`clock in the morning two police officers approached to the representatives of EPU and, with no introducing, asked them to leave. They strictly refused to do that, demanded an explanation, and those two policemen quietly disappeared.
The Communists` tent was next to the “European’s”, where they gathered signatures for a referendum. As you know, the leader of the European Party of Ukraine Mykola Katerynchuk repeatedly got a court to ban the event. Currently the prohibition to collect signatures for conducting a referendum on joining the Customs Union is required by law.
While communicating with the members of the Communists, EPU members paid their attention to the blanks for collecting signatures. These were forms of CEC, but they had no date. The CPU deputy in Druzhkivka City Council Nina Horobets did not let the EPU member Eugene Shapovalov to film these CEC blanks with signatures of citizens. According to him, she tried to avoid fixing the fact of signing the undated blanks.
According to Eugene Shapovalov, the following actions must be classified “as a data forgery in order to falsify the will of the people of Ukraine”. “Actions of Nina Horobets break the “Law on Local Self-Government”, the status of deputies of local councils. They can be regarded as an abuse provisions, fraud, etc. “, – said the deputy.
