On 10 December 2011, in the Teacher’s House (Kyiv), there was held the VI Congress of the European Party of Ukraine. The event took place before the EU-Ukraine Summit, scheduled for 19th December. “We believe that this Summit is a Ukrainian Rubicon. The decision adopted at the Summit will influence not only solutions of pragmatic issues on the European integration, it will influence on the issue whether Ukraine can be successful as a modern European state. Ukraine needs internal European modernization, making irreversible the way to further democratic reforms”, – said the EPU leader Mykola Katerynchuk. In view thereof, the European Party of Ukraine requires the Government to sign the Association Agreement with the European Union on Summit 19th December.
Following the discussions at the Congress, the European Party of Ukraine adopted a resolution on support of signing the Association Agreement.
