Today, on September 25, 2013, Kyiv District Administrative Court banned the CEC to send its representatives to the public meetings organized by the Communist Party on referendum on September 29.
“Prevent the Central Election Commission to send its representative (representatives) to meetings of citizens to hold referendum on public initiative concerning the external integration of Ukraine, scheduled for September 29, 2013,” – says the court’s ruling.
The corresponding ruling on execution of the court ruling to ban the CEC to send its representative (representatives) to the meeting of citizens to hold referendum state enforcement presented to the Central Election Commission to perform.
As to the other claims the court opened proceedings in the administrative case.
Preliminary hearing on the claim for the European Party of Ukraine is scheduled for October 10, at Kyiv District Administrative Court at 10:30.
Recall, on September 23, the European party filed a lawsuit asking to ban Communists to organize and conduct a public meeting on referendum, recognizing their actions as illegal.
On September 29, the CPU organizes a regular meeting of citizens to initiate a referendum. Meeting is scheduled for 11:00 in Kyiv at the stadium “Spartak”.
Earlier, the CEC refused to register the initiative group of Communists on referendum, which was established on September 8. The reason for refusal was a violation of the terms of application submission to the CEC to organize the meeting.
