Today, on November 25, activists of the European Party of Ukraine, headed by Mykola Katerynchuk, conducted a picket of Kyiv District Administrative Court, which considers the claim of the European Party of Ukraine on the acknowledging as illegal and void the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, which suspended the process of European integration of Ukraine. About 300 activists gathered near the building of the Court, holding the flags of the European Party of Ukraine.
“We filed a lawsuit in the morning on November 22, 2013 in which we ask Kyiv District Administrative Court to acknowledge as illegal and void the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine (no. 905- p of November 21, 2013) “On Association Agreement between Ukraine, on the one part, and the European Union, the European Atomic Energy Community and their Member States, on the other part”, which among other things provides “suspension of the preparation for signing the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the European Union”. “Today only at 16:00 a judge Bogdan Sanin was appointed. As a result, the decision has not been made yet”, – said the initiator of the action, the leader of the European Party of Ukraine, People`s Deputy of Ukraine Mykola Katerynchuk.
“Taking into account the fact that the subject of the claim is a question that has a social character and caused significant resonance throughout the world, the court should have taken the case into consideration immediately and unconditionally acknowledged this order as illegal and void. However, it has not happened”, – said the People`s Deputy of Ukraine. – “So tomorrow we will continue picketing the court to achieve adoption of the legal decision by the appointed judge”.
“We believe that the court has all legal grounds to immediately suspend the orders of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and, thus, to ensure the realization of the aspirations of the most Ukrainians for integration into the European Union”, – said the politician.
