Mykola Katerynchuk: Bulgaria and Moldova should not be an example for us to follow

Elections in Bulgaria and Moldova have shown the defeat of European political forces in these countries. In both countries, pro-Russian candidates won elections and came to power. This was written by Mykola Katerynchuk on his Facebook page today.

“For us, a pro-Russian neighborhood undoubtedly will have negative consequences. Moreover, the example of Moldova for us is significant, because the situation there is similar to ours – Russian troops in the unrecognized Transnistria, a sharp issue of federalization, a difficult economic situation”, – said Mykola Katerynchuk.

“Due to such circumstances, the European Union should put the efficiency of its policy in the countries of the so-called Eastern Partnership on the agenda. This two defeats are their fault. And if they continue to take a soft position on issues of Donbass and Crimea, Ukraine will follow the way of Moldova”, – emphasized the politician.

“We can not ignore inactivity of our government, but it is another question”, – added he.
