“The Party of Regions in the face of its technical candidate Yaremchuk tried to cancel the drawing lots results. In case the court had done that, the elections would have been moved to courts. It would have been the banal diverting of voters from the election race and would have opened the way for the rigging of the election results in favor of the ruling party”- said Mykola Katerynchuk.
“Thanks to the professional work of our lawyers and reporters who responded to our request and attended the court session for three days, Vinnytsia Regional Administrative Court, on September 29, rejected the claims of a member of the Party of Regions, the people’s deputy candidate Y.Yaremchuk, and acknowledged illegal actions of the District Election Commission of the constituency no.13 on the drawing lots results. The Court found no violations in the actions of the commission and admitted that the draw was conducted in accordance with the Law of Ukraine “On Elections of People’s Deputies of Ukraine” and the Central Election Commission directive no.895 of September 13, 2012. In this case, the court`s decision states that persons that were present in DEC, including the plaintiff himself, official observers and proxies of the candidates and authorized persons of the parties did not constitute the acts of abuse during the drawing lots procedure. Appropriate procedures were performed by Commission transparently and open to everyone. The video recording was also carried at the meeting in DEC”- said Mykola Katerynchuk.
“In simple terms, we have defended the right of the opposition to include their representatives to the District Election Commissions. If it is a necessity, we will also defend the voting results. I managed to do it in 2004 in the Supreme Court of Ukraine and I will do it this time. There will be no falsification”- added the MP.
