Mykola Katerynchuk: First of all, the government should resolve the issue of a visa-free regime with the EU, and then introduce visa regimes with someone else

“Plans about introduction of a visa regime with Russia have being discussed for a long time. But first of all, the government should resolve the issue of a visa-free regime with the EU, and then introduce visa regimes with someone else”, – commented the leader of the European Party of Ukraine Mykola Katerynchuk on today’s announcement of Oleksandr Turchynov concerning the possible introduction of a visa regime with Russia.

“We have an undeclared but a real war with Russia. Negotiation, Minsk II or Normandy four meetings did not give any results. But for Ukrainian society and Ukrainian economy the end of this war is necessary. Therefore, we must act decisively”, – said Mykola Katerynchuk.

“For these three years the authorities headed by President have showed their absolute helplessness. Through the efforts of officials in the international arena Ukraine has proved itself a weak state, able to do everything asked to get the next tranche from Europe or the United States. Europe does not take us into account and that is confirmed by a visa-free regime situation. If the situation is not improved, the government will have to admit its defeat and resign. Ukrainian people will not tolerate it no longer”, – he added.
