Administration of the TV and radio programs of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has confirmed that the Main Investigation Department of the SSU required from them the records of the parliamentary speeches of People`s Deputy of Ukraine Mykola Katerynchuk in 2013. The leader of the European Party of Ukraine received this response to the inquiry, which was sent on December 27, 2013.
In particular, the People`s Deputy of Ukraine asked to inform him if the administration of the TV and radio programs received the requests from law enforcement agencies asking for information on his performances, voting or any other activity as a People`s Deputy of Ukraine.
Commenting on the letter of response Mykola Katerynchuk said: “At the end of December, when I had an examination in Prosecutor General`s Office of Ukraine, I assumed that the criminal cases against People`s Deputies, who are supporters of EuroMaydan, would be opening. It was known that the details of the events of November 29-30, 2013 were studied and speeches of the opposition leaders were analyzed”, – said Mykola Katerynchuk.
“There is only one conclusion: the sensational amnesty law is not working, the power turns Ukraine into the police state. So I do not exclude that a criminal proceeding against me on political grounds will be violated soon”- said Mykola Katerynchuk.
