“On October 2, 2013 I acted as a citizen of my country. And if it is necessary, I will repeat it”, – wrote the leader of the European Party of Ukraine, People`s Deputy of Ukraine and the member of the parliamentary faction “Batkivshchina” Mykola Katerynchuk on his page on Facebook. He said that he had received a call from the police for examination him as a witness of the events that took place on October 2, 2013 during a session of the Kyiv City Council, near the Kyiv City State Administration”.
During the interrogation, I can only say what I have already said about the events. The current city government is illegitimate. Police who gets in her defense also loses its legitimacy. If the community of the city asks the Mayor and the Deputies to go out – they have to stand up and go”, – said the People`s Deputy of Ukraine. “Or they can openly declare that we have seized power, democracy is canceled and the community`s opinion is uninteresting for them. But it is a treason, which people can respond to, using all available remedies, including radical ones”.
