During the meeting current issues in the political field of Ukraine were under discussion. “I am worried by the tendency of democratic processes curling after Victor Yanukovych’s coming to power. The ways of preparation and adoption of the laws which are urged to regulate national economy, to deduce from crisis and to create preconditions for considerable reforms, actually don’t correspond to the principles declared by the power”, – the leader of the European Party noted during the conversation with Mevlut Cavusoglu.
Mykola Katerynchuk also touched upon the theme of the freedom of speech threat in Ukraine . He considers that “it is impossible to allow that journalists have turned to slaves in the European state”.
“A political punishment has been mete over the “TBi”, “5 Channel” and “Tonis” Channels. These channels are independent of the power and give the objective information, and many people do not like it. Prospects to win processes in the courts by these channels against power are not realistic: decisions of the courts will be not on their advantage”, – the People’s Deputy underlined during the meeting.
On Mykola Katerynchuk’s belief, the decisions of these courts are not important. «More important is the reaction of the society to such cases», – he considers.
