Mykola Katerynchuk: Opposition chose the only candidate for the mayor of Kyiv

The MP from the parliamentary faction “Batkivshchyna”, Mykola Katerynchuk stated that the opposition has finally decided on the only candidate that will take part in the elections of the Kyiv mayor.

“The opposition decided on the only candidate for the mayoral elections. This is Vitaliy Klychko”, – said Mykola Katerynchuk on the Internet conference in the LIGABiznesInform news agency on Thursday.

He expressed an idea that the Party of Regions will do everything to postpone the elections until 2015.

“Today we have no date of the elections. The Party of Regions understands that it is losing Kyiv, and tries to postpone the election until 2015. If Vitaliy Klychko refuses to participate in the elections, it will be a complicated situation. Popov is a strong candidate. He has something to show the Kiev citizens. For example, the law on the elections to local councils can be used as an administrative resource to replace the unwanted candidates. If Vitaliy Klychko refuses, then I will ask the leaders of the opposition to support me as an only candidate. Kyiv is a place where should start a change of power in 2015. I’m willing to provide it, “- said Mykola Katerynchuk.
