“Today the concerted action of “Batkivshchina”, “UDAR” and “Svoboda” became the key to the blockage of the illegal Council. I think this is a major victory of the opposition forces in the fight against the illegal actions of the current Kyiv authorities. It is a shame that we had to use force, but there was no other way, “- commented on today’s blocking of the Kyiv City Council the leader of the European Party of Ukraine, People’s Deputy of Ukraine, the member of the parliamentary faction “Batkivshchina ” Mykola Katerynchuk.
“Last month I announced the elimination of the faction of Mykola Katerynchuk in the City Council because we believe that its current members can not work in a legal way. Unfortunately, no law and legal arguments concerning the illegitimacy of Deputy Council were heard. Deputies ignore us and try to extend making illegal decisions. That is why, the opposition action aimed to lock the session was so resolute”, – emphasized Mykola Katerynchuk.
“If political and legal arguments concerning the illegal actions of the government do not work, people resort to force. If Kyiv authorities continue to afford such things, we will stop them again. The current Kyiv City Council will not work “- added People`s Deputy.
