Mykola Katerynchuk registered a draft law on the establishment of the Ministry of Crimea of Ukraine

Today People`s Deputy of Ukraine, the leader of the European Party of Ukraine Mykola Katerynchuk submitted to the Parliament a draft law “On Amending the Law of Ukraine “On the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine” (concerning compulsory establishment of the Ministry of Crimea and temporary migrants of Ukraine) (№ 4315 of 21 July, 2014).

“In March 2014 the Autonomous Republic of Crimea was occupied by the Russian Federation. The fact of the annexation of the Crimean peninsula was condemned by the international community, and the question of the actual return of the Crimea to Ukraine was one of the main agenda of the new Ukrainian government”, – is said in the memorandum.

“At the same time, the system of the executive power, which operates today in Ukraine, does not imply the existence of an executive body that would become a single coordination center on the issues of return of the occupied territory to Ukraine. And a wide range of issues, which require immediate help of qualified professionals, emerged in the Crimea during annexation”, – says the author of the bill Mykola Katerynchuk.

“The need for the Ministry, which would solve a set of problems of the annexed Crimea, is being actively discussed by the public and supported by the authorities. Last week, the Centre of Social Research “Ukrainian Meridian”, the public organization “Coordinating Council of organizations of migrants from Crimea” and the European Party of Ukraine there conducted a roundtable on “the need for the Ministry of Crimea of Ukraine.  “According to the results of the meeting a resolution was adopted, and now we registered a draft law in the Parliament”, – said the People`s Deputy of Ukraine.

“The adoption of the draft law will facilitate solving problems that appeared in Ukraine in connection with the annexation of the Crimea, through the establishment of a single executive body”,  – said the politician.
