“Over the last few months, Syndrome of Vradyivka has been spreading over Ukraine: staying in the district police stations or near them, or even staying close to guardians becoming dangerous. Instead of protecting people, they beat them, rape them and put them to prisons”, – commented the leader of the European Party of Ukraine, People`s deputy of Ukraine Mykola Katerynchuk on beating the People’s Deputy of Ukraine Andriy Illienko and a lawyer Sydir Kizin.
“If by this time the status of People`s Deputy was still preserved somehow, now it is worthless. In this case what kind of protection can we provide to the rest of the citizens of our state? It is not even the rhetoric question. It is a call to the authorities, so that they could really realize how inhumanly they act. Although we should not expect something else from them”, – said Mykola Katerynchuk.
The People`s Deputy of Ukraine presumed that beating of Andriy Illienko and Sydir Kizin was not an accident and was “probably organized by the authorities”. “I have almost no doubt about it. And hardly anyone will be punished for beating them. But if the government thinks differently and is ready to punish the guilty, it must find them and start a public process as soon as possible”, – said the politician.
