“Someone’s influence is traced in a criminal prosecution of Oksana Makar`s mother. A wide number of news reports in various media confirm this fact. Today, it is hard to say exactly who is behind this mudslinging, but I do not exclude that such aggravation of issue of the dead girl’s moral qualities is not accidental”, – said People’s Deputy of Ukraine, the leader of the European Party of Ukraine, Mykola Katerynchuk, commenting on the termination of the criminal case against Oksana Makar`s mother, Tetyana Surovytska.

“I’m familiar with the case because I represented the injured party and I have convincing reasons for such conclusions. Even during the trial, we were studying a protocol, which was about the allegations against the mother of Oksana Makar. However, the court rejected it. I have already reported on this fact in a live television program”- reminded the MP.

“I think that we shouldn’t talk at all about the moral qualities of Oksana Makar after what has happened to her. It is not right to reduce such crime against humanity to figuring out who and how and where was brought up. If we talk about this – it turns out that you can easily kill a homeless person. Excuse me, but in a country where homeless dogs are being shown greater concern than people, we should think about the general level of protection of citizens to save their lives”, – added Mykola Katerynchuk.

“Media will continue raising the above-mentioned topic. It is probably that somehow this heightened interest concerns me as a politician. Even during the trial in the case of Oksana Makar I repeatedly noticed the nonrandom nature of some informational messages, which were aimed to discredit our team in some way”, – said the parliamentarian. – “If the TV channels had broadcasted a film about the cruelty of the murderers, I would have understood it. But talking about the moral qualities of Oksana Makar is immoral, cynical and unworthy of our society”.
