Mykola Katerynchuk will submit a cassation complaint in the case of Oksana Makar

Mykolaiv Court of Appeal refused to change the sentence for the murder and the rapist of Oksana Makar.

The Court in one session reviewed the appeals of the condemned and the appeal of Mykola Katerynchuk, in which he asked to sentence the life imprisonment for Maxim Prisyazhnyuk and Artem Pogosyan.

Appealing convicted Evheniy Krasnoshchok accused Prisyazhnyuk of killing Oksana Makar and denied the fact of rape, arguing that intimacy was affected by mutual consent.

Commenting on the decision a representative of the injured party, People’s Deputy of Ukraine Mykola Katerynchuk said: “We are not satisfied with the taken decision and after the announcement of its reasoning part we will submit a cassation complaint. It is expected that this (announcement of the decision) will take place on June 6, “- he said.
