On the 14-17th of July, 2016 a group of the ATO participants, the members of the European Party of Ukraine, will visit Lithuania in the framework of exchange their fighting experience with Lithuanian colleagues. The main goal is to establish in Lithuania the reserve NGOs that could defend the country in case of external military aggression. This was announced by the leader of the European Party of Ukraine, People`s Deputy of Ukraine of 4, 5, 6, 7 convocations, Mykola Katerynchuk.

“The idea of such visit is not accidental, but rather caused by a problem. Russia’s foreign policy, according to the messages from the media is becoming more aggressive and especially it is a threat to the sovereignty of the Baltic countries”, – said Mykola Katerynchuk. – “The proposal to share experience was received from a vice president of the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe, a vice Speaker of the Seimas of Lithuania, the MEP, Petras Auštrevičius. And we are working with the NGO “Civic Guard” and its head Eduard Zeynalov, who responded to this idea and organized the trip”.

As you know, in April, 2014 (just after the outbreak of hostilities in the east of Ukraine) Mykola Katerynchuk proposed to the Parliament to adopt a draft law “On Army Reserve”, which provided a formation of military units that would replenished by civilians.
