“We are now at the People’s Assembly, where all decisions are made. I ask you now to make the decisions, concerning the control of Kyiv. We need a Revolutionary Commandant of Kyiv. And he should be elected today. I am ready to take this responsibility and would ask you to vote for it”, – said the People`s Deputy of Ukraine, the leader of the European Party of Ukraine Mykola Katerynchuk from the stage of EuroMaidan in Kyiv. In response, members of the People’s Assembly unanimously supported the proposal.
“Revolution wins only if it wins in the capital and we have to control every street, every yard, and every nook in Kyiv. I appeal to Kyiv citizens – my dear, without you, we will not succeed. We thank you for being here today at Independence Square, along with other participants who came from all over Ukraine. But it should not be only on Saturday and Sunday. It has to be tomorrow and on the day after tomorrow. It must be a full mobilization. We need to establish full control over Kyiv. We have already put checkpoints at all entrances to Kyiv. We have to control the movement of armed forces and police. They should ask your permission where and whether to go or not”- said the People`s Deputy.
“Therefore, I appeal to you, to Kyiv citizens. We have to say it again “Donetsk get away from Kyiv!” Now we need you to start a serious campaign. Every day we have to form groups, for the safety of everyone who is in Kyiv at EuroMaidan. Tomorrow we will make Popov leave his office as he does not perform his main duties, – announced Mykola Katerynchuk.
“We do not need any New Year trees, covered by blood of our children. We will celebrate New Year and Christmas as we want”, – he added.
