STATEMENT of the European Party of Ukraine

The European Party of Ukraine is convinced that the first report to the Ukrainian people on his declaration must be made by the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko.

Today, on the 3th of November, 2016, Petro Poroshenko issued a statement on e-declaration during the international forum in Lviv. In particular, the President stressed that those, who believed that submitted declarations are zero declarations, will not avoid inspections. “The key position – is to draw a line of what they have done for 25 years. And then, please, explain where you, a rock dove, got your money. People and society should know this”, – he said. He added: “We must not fight with the rich people but with criminals, who get apartments, cars, houses and planes, being constantly in the public service”.

It is interesting that according to the official biography of the President, since 1998 and until now he almost all the time held various government positions and was a People`s Deputy of Ukraine of four convocations. How did the President earn his billions during this time? Did he, like the officials with millionth declarations, successfully combined these activities?

In his declaration Petro Poroshenko declared himself as an owner of 104 companies, being at the same time the President of Ukraine. Again, there is not a new question, why the guarantor of the Constitution violates the Article 103 of the Constitution itself? The offshore company Prime Asset Partners Limited, founded in 2014 for the sale of the corporation Roshen is even more interesting for society. The President acknowledged this fact on his official Facebook page in the cover letter to his declaration. If you recall, during the offshore scandal Panama Papers this fact was denied by the Presidential Administration, while they insisted on the “blind trust”.

Did the President of Ukraine want to sell his company through the offshore and not to pay taxes to the budget of Ukraine, which, according to unofficial sources, would amount to 170 million dollars? This is what must be primarily explained by the President. Indeed, considering such compromising facts, his statement on e-declaration looks like populism.
