The e-declaration cheking must lead to court cases and the imposition of certain sentences. This was announced on the November 5th,2016 on the TV channel NewsOne by the Deputy Chairman of the European Party of Ukraine, the Head of the Odessa City Organization of the European Party of Ukraine Ruslan Chernolutsky.
“Today we, as a society, should not allow officials to avoid liability. Especially because the law prescribe mechanisms of such liability. It is necessary to give to public an answer about the nature of these assets. Law enforcement authorities should check and not allow to combine the e-declaration mechanism with the so-called zero declarations, that is a parallel amnesty of officials. After all, thousands of officials who have declared their assets, hope that they will not do anything, that they thus will be able to avoid liability”, – he said.
“I hope that the law will not be established for the special status of officials, everyone should be equal. It is not just about the deputies and ministers, but also the judges and prosecutors. Therefore, it is a solidarity in terms of the check, bringing cases to judgment and to prosecute such officials. Now the loud statements are being made by the NABU, the Attorney General, but will they bring them to their logical conclusion? That is the question. This is a problem, because the system is not updated, the courts, prosecutors and police are corrupt. Therefore, we need to continue to reform the law enforcement agencies and to complete the judicial reform, so that we got the result – bringing perpetrators to justice”, – said Ruslan Chernolutsky.
“And the first report on their declarations must be made by the the officials who have not worked a single day in the business must be tested, along with the first persons of the state, whom declarations caused a lot of questions”, – he added.
