The Chairman of the Executive Committee of the European Party of Ukraine Vitaliy Shcherbenko believes that the government should immediately cancel the anti-democratic laws. “Now we see the consequences of the laws, adopted on January 16: violent confrontation on Hrushevsky St., injured, detention of innocent people and increasing of radical views in the community. The situation has actually gotten out of control. Therefore, an immediate abolition of the anti-democratic laws is logical”, – he said.
“I am convinced that the abolition of these laws will instantly relieve tension in society and it will become possible to start the negotiations between the government and the opposition. Otherwise violent confrontation will only increase”, – he added.
