On the 5th of February, 2016, the congress of the European Party of Ukraine was held. The session was attended by the leaders of the regional party organizations and the following guests: Andriy Lopushansky, the People`s Deputy of Ukraine; Giorgi Arveladze, the head of the Secretariat of the President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili; Serhiy Chervonopyskyi, the head of the Ukrainian Union of Afghanistan Veterans and members of the European Party of Ukraine in local government bodies.
During the speech, the leader of the European Party of Ukraine Mykola Katerynchuk summarized the work of the Party in 2015, outlined the main ways of development for the current year and made a proposal on holding the next congress of the Party. “Our Congress should not just be another meeting of delegates with statistical papers and reports, but it must mark the beginning of the Party’s campaign in parliament. We need to come to power in order to form a new agenda for Ukraine that will be based on law, freedom, and European values for every Ukrainian”, – said the leader of the European Party of Ukraine Mykola Katerynchuk.
The guests expressed their support to develop the Party and the willingness to cooperate. “We closely observe your political activity and are ready for tight cooperation. We believe that with such politicians as you, Ukraine will become a real European country where reforms can be carried out in 6 months, rather than talking about them for two years in a row”, – said Giorgi Arveladze.
