Dear leaders of regional party offices and newly elected deputies of local councils!
According to the election results, the European Party of Ukraine will have representation in thirteen councils of different levels. Of course, this result is not perfect for the Party, but sufficient enough to implement Party’s programs in areas, which are under your control.
The priority of our activity is to obtain power in order to protect citizens’ rights and freedoms, improve their standard of living. And infrastructure projects are of paramount importance; designed not only to increase the level of citizens’ comfort, but also to create new jobs, which are extremely important in conditions of a permanent economic crisis. Despite the current government’s loud statements concerning reforms and European integration perspectives, Ukraine is returning to the post-Soviet economy. So our task is not only to popularize European liberal values, but also to implement them in practice.
For this purpose we encourage newly elected deputies to participate in the distribution of committees positions in local councils. These commissions are formed among its members for studying, preliminary review and preparing issues within its competence, monitor the implementation of decisions of the council and its executive committee. Particular attention is paid on commissions, which are responsible for the preparation and implementation of infrastructure projects. Ukraine today receives enormous funds from various international organizations for realization of infrastructure projects and our task is to participate actively in this process.
In order to receive financial support from the EBRD, the World Bank or EU funds, infrastructure projects must meet several criteria. To provide practical assistant to those people, who are interested in writing their applications to local authorities, utility companies and other organizations, which are funded by international financial institutions, the European Party of Ukraine will conduct the training, which is going to take place in two stages: the first stage – from the 16th to 18th of November, 2016 (one working day), and the second one – from the 23rd to 27thof November, 2016 (also one working day). These projects are aim to develop the infrastructure of territorial communities in places it will be conducted such as in towns, cities, districts or regions.
We ask the leaders of party offices to determine those, who will be responsible for preparing projects and sending their data to the Central Executive Committee by the 13th of November, 2015, in order to participate in the training.
Olha Pshonkovska – responsible for preparing the training.
The leader of the European Party of Ukraine Mykola Katerynchuk
