The European Party of Ukraine will have representation in the local councils of those newly formed unified territorial communities, where it was announced about its participation in the elections. In particular, our party members won nine seats in the elections, which were held in the newly formed unified territorial communities on 18th December, 2016.
Our party members got a landslide victory in elections in Zhdanivka unified territorial community, formed by combining Zhdanivka village council (villages Viitivtsi, Dibrivka, Olhyne) and Kachanivka village council (villages Kachanivka, Semky) in Vinnytsia region. Overall, three political forces took part in the elections, as well as self-nominated candidates. After counting the votes, seats were distributed as follows: the European Party of Ukraine – 28%; Batkivshchyna- 9%; People’s Front- 0%. Six candidates from the European Party candidates were elected: Olha Vernyhora, Ruslan Duhnevych, Ihor Zelinsky, Yaroslav Kaspersky, Halyna Lyubetska, Yuriy Oshivsky.
Also, a team of party members participated in the elections to the newly formed Mostysk city council in Lviv region. The European Party of Ukraine received the support of 8.75% voters and three seats respectively. The Deputies of Mostysk City Council from the European Party of Ukraine became: Roman Labuda, Bohdan Kostecky and Mykhailo Krupy.
As it was previously reported, two candidates for the posts of a head of the united local community and 43 candidates for deputies of councils from the European Party of Ukraine participated in the first elections of united territorial communities, which will take place on 18th December, 2016.
In particular, the nominees from the European Party of Ukraine were candidates for a head of Nabutiv and Stebliv united territorial communities (Korsun-Shevchenkivskiy district, Cherkassy region), 19 candidates for deputies of Zhdanivka local council (Vinnytsya region) and 24 candidates for deputies to Mostysk city council in Lviv region.
Management of the European Party of Ukraine congratulates the newly elected deputies with the victory and wishes them successful political activity for the benefit of their constituents and the whole Ukraine.
